What does a support worker do?

“I love going on a mutual journey of getting to know each other, creating a connection and growing together”

Our support workers are the heart and soul of our organisation and quite simply, we couldn’t do what we do without them!

They provide care and support, physical assistance and supervision for people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. That often involves assisting with aspects of daily life such as bathing, toileting, dressing, eating, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and attending social outings and community and family activities.

Our customers are individuals and as such have unique support needs, supports are provided at various times of the day including nights and weekends.

Does this sound like a role for you?

Do you have an ability and willingness to work in a manner which empowers and values people with disability?

Are you able to ensure that people’s rights to privacy, dignity and cleanliness are respected at all times?

As a support worker you would be committed to working in partnership with our customers, their families, advocates and the community. Support worker roles can be Permanent Part Time or Casual. Contact us to find out more about becoming a support worker.
